FRIDAY 9/23 HOME vs
CB SOUTH 7:00PM
Well the good news first, anytime you can win 3 league games in
a week it is an accomplishment. This was a great week for the NORTH girls,
starting with the Quakertown Tournament and continuing with 3 BIG WINS.
Tonight's match was certainly not played as crisply as Wednesday's game
at Hatboro, but a win is a win is a win. There is no such thing as a bad
"W."
NORTH came out fast against a clearly overmatched CB SOUTH team,
taking Game# 1 25-12. It appeared that NORTH lost their focus early
in the 2nd game, but rallied to extend their lead to 20-11, when they
simply stopped playing with any energy and even less teamwork. CB South
chipped away, mostly on unforced errors by NORTH to take a 24-23 lead,
at which time NORTH pulled themselves together to close the game out
26-24. Not pretty , but better than any other alternative. Game# 3 was all
NORTH as CB South had some focus interuptus of their own, as NORTH pulled
away to 25-17 victory.
Now that we have finished this week, guess what? 3 games next week,
each game is equally important. Yes, Monday's game counts just as much as
Tuesday's and the same as Friday's. Not too sound too cliché' but take care
of Norristown on Monday, before you think about the game on Tuesday.
