9/30 HOME vs CB EAST 7:00PM
It would be easy to just direct you to last Fridays update of the
game against CB South and ask you to substitute "East" wherever you
see "South" but that would not tell the whole story.
NORTH started Game 1 with an impressive 7-0 service run from
Caitlin Reinert. This ignited a quick 25-11 victory.
Game 2 saw more of the same NORTH dominance against a very
inexperienced East squad. Playing very methodically NORTH mixed in
a variety of players to take this game 25-15.
Game 3 should have been all laughs and giggles, but turned into
a struggle. This game could have set back modern volleyball by a few
years, if not for a spirited comeback by NORTH from a 24-20 deficit
to take this one 26-24. On a positive note it was great to see some
new faces get some varsity time, on a night that Aly Hinton rested her
sore leg. Bottomline, a 3-0 win is what we are all looking for, so we
take it and move on.
